Automation investments

30.06.2021

We are the first Polish printing house to invest in the Fujifilm Onset X3 HS Dual Robot solution.

We have been producing high-quality packaging and shop displays for almost 20 years and we specialise in personalised large-format digital print, based on automated production. To further automate the printing, we have invested in a fully automatic Fujifilm Onset X3 HS machine, which was installed in June 2021.

From advertising and marketing to textile and funeral industries, we have a wide range of products for clients working in many markets all over Europe. We use various methods of printing, coating and thermoforming to produce stands, displays, hangers, wobblers, posters and a variety of other unusual products made with various materials, including cardboard, materials, metal and wood. We have a team of highly qualified specialists, many of whom have worked with us since the company was founded and have made every effort to provide products and services of the highest quality.

We also use the best, most advanced printing machines on the market. This is why we have been investing in Fujifilm equipment for years – we own Fujifilm’s Onset S20, Acuity LED 3200R and Uvistar II 5032 machines. In 2010, we invested in the Onset S20 machine, which was an excellent addition to our production capabilities. After expanding our facility, we were able to extend our offer and invest in other machines, which helped us increase efficiency and reduce delivery times. Our clients care about the speed and quality of service. We also have a less expensive offer than other printing houses in the EU. All of these factors play a significant role in maintaining a stable client base.

Our recent investment in the Fujifilm Onset X3 HS machine was a result of an analysis of other automated printing machines. Today, our offer is broader than ever, but we knew that we needed a machine than would help us meet the demands. We identified several machines that could meet our requirements but after discussing the matter with Fujifilm, we reached the conclusion that the Onset X3 HS machine, which offers excellent functions, would satisfy our needs in a cost-effective way.

We can use it to create several particularly impressive print jobs, including very specific typography and even Braille materials, which we provide for some of our clients. This is a very important product for the blind and visually impaired that is a part of our ethos, which is to be a company that specialises in solutions rarely found on the print market. The precision of the Onset X3 HS machine allows us to create such specialised print jobs and watching it work is an extraordinary experience. The automated elements of the Onset X3 HS machine, which has robotic arms for applying and removing surfaces, made a great impression on us.

Robotisation and automation of our printing machines are very important because it allows us to increase production, reduce labour costs and maintain the consistency of products. We are proud to be the first Polish digital printing house to implement two robots.

We can currently observe an increase in demand for smaller and more personalised print runs in the print industry. The pandemic lead to a rapid decline in overall production expenses (it mainly concerns offset printing) and orders are transferred to big digital machines like the Onset X3 HS.

This new technology from Fujifilm will allow us to gain many new clients. The last 18 months showed us that automation of the printing processes can help us work more stably and provide consistency of supplies for our clients. We intend to install more printing machines and robots next year.

When we first wanted to invest in new equipment, we kept in mind reliability and price but also trust in the supplier. If not for the Onset S20, which we bought from Fujifilm 11 years ago, we would not have become the biggest printing house handling digital, large-format print in Poland. We are happy with the relationship we have with Fujifilm and I think we will further develop it in the upcoming years.

Tomasz Wróblewski, general director of Fujifilm Graphic Systems Poland commented: we have had an excellent relationship with the Bluejet company for many years and we are happy to see that the Onset X3 HS Dual Robot helps them achieve unusual and unique prints. They are a forward-thinking company and we will gladly continue our partnership with them. We are very curious what new purposes this machine will fulfil.
