Thermoforming

Thermoforming is a technology used to produce packaging, mock-ups or other shapes. Even heating of the sheets and vacuum forming results in durable, transparent packaging (e.g. blister type) or any spatial forms. We have many years of experience in the design, technology set-up and implementation of complex thermo-forming projects.

Thermoforming is one of the most versatile technologies for producing plastic parts and components. It involves the thermoplastic sheet first being heated to its specific softening temperature (specific to the plastic) and then being formed into the desired shape. Plastic products that are made by thermoforming are distinguished by the fact that they can have very thin walls. Thermoforming provides the possibility to manufacture short- and medium-volume products quickly, and reduces the cost of making moulds. Tooling is up to 10 times cheaper than other plastics processing technologies (e.g. injection moulding technology).

Thermoforming is a technological process that offers the possibility of using multiple moulds, allowing multiple products to be manufactured in a single cycle. These include customised product packaging, display trays, transport dividers for the automotive industry and much more.
